This evening, I agreed a deal to use Metzeler tyres, namely the 6-Days Extreme, on my bike, supplied by Wheelfit Motorcycles in Cambridge.
Tyres are one of the most expensive consumable items when racing off-road so this will make the rest of the season that little bit more affordable.
I’ve been using the 6-Days Extreme tyres for a few events and find them good for all conditions and terrain types I’ve encountered so far. They’re also an FIM approved enduro tyre so I shouldn’t fall foul of any regulatory issues no matter what event I enter.
Also, after a puncture on a trail-ride on Sunday, I’m going to try running mousses and see how that goes.
